Concept of Time

I think the most challenging and hard concept for us (and Mom) to accept is Mom's diminished sense of time. If we tell her something is going to happen in the future (no matter what future), she thinks it is happening next; either tomorrow or in the next few minutes.
Today, Vicky was talking about her next visit to see Mom before she left. When she woke up from her nap, Mom was sure that this meant we weren't going to go to see/hear Trisha (in Storrs) this afternoon because Vicky was coming back. We're actually going to Storrs tomorrow for church, and Vicky is coming when Kathy is here on the 9th of November. Mom was mad! Then she realizes she 'gets all tangled' (her words) and cries. But, on the up side, if we can change the subject ('wasn't it great to see Vicky, would you like to listen to music, have a cookie...?') her mood is turned around.
She/we did have a very nice visit with Vicky (and Chase!), so thank you! And Thanks, Vicky for being here so Bob and I could have some time together :).
